The proposed computer-simulation platform uses phenotype, genotype (e.g., SNPs), and environmental covariate data collected in an existing network of trials and historical weather records at target locations (“virtual network of trials”) to simulate the performances of selected genotypes in target locations, under possible weather conditions.
