CoMs derived for all three techniques (a total of N = 5 nerves in 4 animals, including the right sciatic nerve in 3 animals and both left and right nerves in the fourth animal) oriented to position the fiducial marker (cuff opening) at 12 O’clock (black arrow); red/green/blue dots for tibial, peroneal, and sural fascicles, respectively. The images from the single left-sided nerve were flipped in the horizontal plane to allow for combination of all nerves in the same dataset. The nerve boundary is shown as a black circle. There was significant separation between the fascicles (p < 0.01, two-way ANOVA). Source data are available.
