Ψ(r) b(r) + θk2ω(r) is shown for \(\left|b\right\rangle \equiv \left|2{p}_{\pm }\right\rangle\) in hydrogen, in the xz plane, with z chosen to be the axis of the field polarization, at different values of θ. For θ = 0, Ψ(r) b(r), while for θ = , Ψ(r) k2ω(r). The colour indicates the sign, and the brightness indicates the amplitude, normalized to the maximum in each case.
