Double-headed gray arrows indicate covariance between variables. Single-headed arrows indicate the hypothesized direction of causation, with positive and negative relationships in pink and blue, respectively. Solid lines represent relationships that are significant statistically (p < 0.05), and hatched lines represent relationships that are not significant statistically (p > 0.05). Arrow thickness is proportional to the strength of the relationship and to the standard path coefficients adjacent to each arrow.
