Column density at 7.04 µm (1420 cm−1; ν4) band was measured as a function of temperature during the TPD (temperature programmed desorption) phase of ammonia-coated montmorillonite. Column density was calculated using the calculated absorption co-efficient (1.50 × 10−16 cm molecule−1) of bending mode (ν4) of NH4+ ion reported in the reference49. The vertical error bars indicate standard deviation (±10%).
