Effect on the extracellular pH elicited measured before and after the addition of fructose to a final concentration of 30 mM to unbuffered aqueous cell suspensions of WT, ΔfruT, and ΔfruT+. The extracellular pH was measured by Seahorse XF analyzer. The dotted lines indicate the times of fructose addition. Data are shown as the mean ± SD (n = 3).
