3-methylcrotonate decarboxylation assay with purified enzyme comparing isobutene production as detected by GC by TaFdc and AnFdc variants (Table 1), both with N-terminal His-tags, over 2 and 4 h with 10 mM 3-methylcrotonate and 0.3 mg/mL enzyme.
