Elastic intensities, obtained integrating RIXS intensity over energy in the range −100 < E < 100 meV, of three samples of Tl2201 at various dopings. a Scans along lines \((\zeta \cos \phi ,\zeta \sin \phi ,2.5)\) showing CDW order occurs near (−0.31, 0, 2.5) and off-resonance scan with ϕ = 0 for p = 0.23. Measurements are normalised to the storage ring current. The sketch above indicates the direction of the scans in the (H, K) plane. bd (H, 0, 2.5) scans, with intensities normalised to the dd excitations. Measurements at successively lower temperatures in c have been offset by a value of 0.05 units per temperature. Data has been fitted to a Gaussian with standard deviation parameter σ plus linear background. The grey dashed line marks the centre of the Gaussian peak at Tc, which we have used to determine δ.
