PIE curves for different product masses are shown in panel (a) m/z = 178, (b) m/z = 179, (c) m/z = 180, (d) m/z = 181, and (e) m/z = 182. They were recorded for the benzyl radical self-reaction at a reactor temperature of 1473 ± 10 K. Black: experimental PIE curves; blue/green/red: reference PIE curves; the red line resembles the overall fit. The error bars consist of two parts: ±10% based on the accuracy of the photodiode and a 1 σ error of the PIE curve averaged over the individual scans.
