  1. Metabolic viability was measured with the resazurin reduction assay after 7–9 days. The activity of known Mtb-inhibitor DCS was rescued by the addition of D-alanine, consistent with targeted inhibition of Alr. The first-line Mtb drug isoniazid served as a positive control. Observed values were consistent across five biological replicates.
