In a green lines indicate the boundary of bimodal precipitation regimes inside which grid boxes have two dry seasons per year, typically with one in boreal winter (December–February, b, c) and the other in boreal summer (June–August, d, e). The hatched area in a–e indicates that the standard deviation of DSL is longer than 30 days (in a and b) or the standard deviation of DSA or DSE is longer than 15 days (in d and e).
