From: Highly selective single and multiple deuteration of unactivated C(sp3)-H bonds
Reaction conditions: IrIII (1 mol%), Bu4NOP(O)(OBu)2 (5 mol%), 2a (10 mol%), amide 1 (0.1 mmol), D2O (110 equiv., 0.2 mL), PhCl (2.0 mL), blue LEDs, 24 h, ambient temperature (with a fan to cool), in argon atmosphere. Isolated yields are shown and the deuterium incorporation ratio was determined by 1H NMR spectroscopy. PMP = 4-methoxyphenyl. a48 h. b2c (10 mol%) instead of 2a.
