Results are shown for the three policy scenarios (Ref Reference; NZ Net-Zero; CF Carbon-Free). The generation-weighted average price ($/MWh) reflects all generation, new bulk transmission, carbon removal, and CO2 transport and storage costs. Estimates reflect electric sector system costs as a proxy for customer impacts and do not include climate damages or other social costs or benefits. NGGT natural gas turbines, NGCC natural gas combined cycle, CCS carbon capture and sequestration, BECCS bioenergy with CCS.
