Reaction conditions: Ru(dtbbpy)3(PF6)2 (1 mol%), Ni(OAc)2•4H2O/tpy (for anti-selective), NiCl2•dppf/1,10-phen (for syn-selective), alkyne (1.5 equiv.), vinyl triflate (0.1 mmol), sodium sulfinate (1.5 equiv.), DMF [0.04 M], 35 oC, blue LED, 6 h. Isolated yields. Ts = toluenesulfonyl.
