1H-3-methyl-1,2,4-triazole (Hmtz) and Mg2+ ions were added to the enzyme solution before the pre-gelation and gelation processes, respectively. The left three local structures show some potential interaction sites of Hmtz on the protein surface; the right three local structures show the possible coordination spheres of Mg2+ at the bridging interface.
