Photoluminescence of putative Cp′₃Cm microcrystals (blue) compared to 1−Cm (red), excited at 420 nm at –180 °C. Cp′₃Cm showed glowing red upon irradiation at 420 nm. Quenching of emission upon the coordination of 4,4′−bpy is observed.
