Conducting successive chemical-fueled processes and thermal annealing process allowing sequential programmability of the supramolecular chirality, offering a three-state supramolecular chiroptical switch that can be recycled multiple times. Chemical processes retain the supramolecular chirality, whereas thermal processes reverse the supramolecular chirality. Methylene blue and neutral red (1:1, 5 mg·mL−1) are used as a mixed indicators for monitoring pH changes (color change point: pH 7.0).
