  1. Values of \({\alpha }_{o},\,{\alpha }_{-M}\) and \({\alpha }_{+M}\) from fittings of the CISS spin valve conductance data to Eq. (3). Here, β is kept constant at 10 V–1. The most notable result is that for Au and Al junctions, \({\alpha }_{o}\) are similar while \({\alpha }_{\mp M}\) differ by an order of magnitude.
