From: Photoelectrochemical oxidative C(sp3)−H borylation of unactivated hydrocarbons
Reaction conditions: substrate 1 or S38 (200 mmol, 10 equiv.), B2(cat)2 2 (20 mmol, 1.0 equiv.), Et4NCl (10 mmol), concentrated HCl (60 mmol), CH3CN (150 mL, technical grade), 390 nm LEDs (50 W), constant current = 10 mA under N2 atmosphere at room temperature (flow rate: 0.1 mL min−1); then pinacol (60 mmol, 3.0 equiv.) and triethylamine (400 mmol, 20 equiv.) in DCM (20 mL), 1 h.
