Panels b–e show the posterior distributions of effect sizes comparing different stability measures between MPAs and open areas in relation to the spatial scale of the MPA network (see also Fig. 1). See Supplementary Fig. 12 for asynchrony. Distributions are shown with 66% (thick bar) and 95% (thin bar) uncertainty intervals (n = 12,000 posterior samples). Intervals that do not overlap with 0 (dashed red line) are considered significant. Positive (negative) effect sizes indicate larger (lower) stability in MPAs than in open areas.
