Significant enrichment was determined using a two-sided Fisher’s Exact Test between the A. kenti-specific (n = 82) and seawater-specific MAGs (n = 119) annotated with (a) CAZy, (b) KO, and (c) Pfam databases with correction for multiple testing by controlling the False Discovery Rate. Points are shown as the proportion of total MAGs encoding that functional gene within each category and coloured based on the value of the adjusted P-values. For clarity, only key genes enriched in A. kenti-specific MAGs discussed in the main text are labelled. Full details of significantly enriched functional genes are provided in Supplementary Data 2.
