a Dispersions of plasmons along the b- and c-axis in 2M-WS2 disks at room temperature and 81 K, represented by red and blue spheres, respectively. The relations between plasmon frequency \(\omega\) and wave vector \(q\), which scale as \(\omega \propto \sqrt{q}\) and \(\omega \propto q\) were used to fit the plasmon dispersions along the c- and b-axis, respectively. The loss function at room temperature is shown as a pseudocolor map. b Extracted linewidth versus frequency of the plasmons in Fig. 2a, b.
