Reactive amines are chemically modified with a photo-removable protection group (i.e. NPPOC) and the prepared inactive payloads are encapsulated via an in situ emulsification polymerization method. Capsules containing photo-responsive payloads are exposed to UV irradiation to activate the reactive ingredients inside the intact shell-walls.
