The alkaline-earth metal M (M = Mg, Ca, Sr) and the active center V are connected by non-covalent bonds in bioinspired MxV2O5·nH2O, which resemble the Lewis acid site and the redox site in HRP C1A, respectively. b Bioinspired MxV2O5·nH2O serves as the peroxidase mimics against bacteria for accelerating infected wound healing.
