The anatomical transition between the LM and AL cortex is considered the physiological border between the ventral and dorsal visual streams. mCherry expression was entirely confined into the ventral stream. No fluorescence could be detected within AL borders. Scale bar 500 μm; inset 200 μm. To ensure the correct localization of the injections, three random slices for each animal were aligned to Allen Mouse Brain Atlas using QuickNII.
