Biogeographic analysis was conducted using BioGeoBEARS with a tree that included 310 taxa within Asparagales. The left maps illustrate early major dispersal events within clade II. The arrows and numbers on the maps correspond to the arrows and node numbers on the trees depicted in this figure. The biogeographic patterns of other families are shown in Supplementary Fig. 7. The maps were created using ArcGIS v. 10.8 software. The country boundary data is sourced from the World Geographical Scheme for Recording Plant Distributions (https://github.com/tdwg/wgsrpd).
