Peptides self-assemble to form triple helices. These triple helices can then form a variety of higher-order assemblies including 2D nanosheets, heterogenous bundled oligomers, polymeric nanoribbons as well as discrete bundled oligomers similar to the organization of defense collagens such as SP-A and C1q.
