From: Time-resolved oxidative signal convergence across the algae–embryophyte divide

In this study, the effect of light and temperature stressors on apocarotenoid levels and their concerted effect on gene expression were studied in three 600-million-year-divergent streptophytes. Our gene expression data predict an integrative network with several points of convergence, including hubs of homologous kinases, calcium/mechanosenstive channels, ethylene signalling homologs, putative peptide signalling homologs, and more.
