SAIUnit automates the conversion between discipline-specific units and SI standards across fundamental physical quantities. For example, it converts energy units such as calories (biology), electron volts (physics), and ergs (CGS system) to joules (SI); pressure units like millimeters of mercury (medical), atmospheres (chemistry), and bars (engineering) to pascals (SI); and force units including dynes (CGS system) and kilogram-force (engineering) to newtons (SI). CGS system: the centimeter-gram-second system of units.
