Reaction conditions of Sonogashira reaction: 1a (0.1 mmol), 2 (0.1 mmol), Pd(dba)2 (4 mol%), L (10 mol%), CsOAc (2.0 equiv) in 2.0 mL of TBME, under argon atmosphere, at 60 °C for 4 hours. Reaction conditions of Heck reactions 1a (0.1 mmol), 4 (0.1 mmol), Pd(dba)2 (4 mol%), L (10 mol%), Et3N (2.0 equiv) in 2.0 mL of TBME, under argon atmosphere, at 80 °C for 10 hours. Photochemical properties are tested in CH2Cl2 (10−5 M), absorption maxima, emission maxima, and fluorescence quantum yields are listed below. The ee values were determined by chiral HPLC. a2.0 equiv of alkynes was used.
