Measured \({T}_{2}^{*}\) times as a function of the applied magnetic field a for NV1 and c for NV2. The energy level structures (F) for b NV1 and d NV2, derived from the positions of the maxima in the cw ODMR spectra. The solid lines represent simulations based on the indicated zero-field splitting parameters, while splits due to distant spins are omitted for clarity. B0 is the applied magnetic field generated by the coil. The curves are shifted from the zero magnetic field by 0.4 G for NV1 and by 0.5 G for NV2 due to the projection of the biasing magnetic field onto the NV-axis.
