Uninduced samples (-IPTG) were included as negative controls. Each experiment was performed independently three times, yielding similar results. b Table summarizing the sizes of DNA fragments obtained after treatment with the highest amount of MNase. Fragment sizes were determined by densitometric analysis, using the molecular weight marker M2 (GeneRuler Ultra Low Range DNA Ladder, ThermoFisher Scientific) as the reference. The densitometric analysis was performed for the indicated number (n) of independent experiments, and the average DNA fragment lengths with standard deviations (SD) are listed.
