For the sample of wild type IL-17RA, RB, and ACT1, the protein complex in fractions 2–4 in Supplementary Fig. 5a was imaged. For the samples with mutated proteins, fractions 2–4 contained little protein; images were collected on pooled fractions 5–10 instead.
