The plot shows the proportion of 5′ mRNA cap structures occurring in the transcripts of all GTCs. 6 + corresponds to 6 and more nontemplated adenosines in the 5′ mRNA leader. In total, 306 viral mRNA sequences from HeLa cells infected with WR VACV (WT; black) and 185 viral mRNA sequences from BHK-21 cells infected with vD9muD10mu double mutant (red) were used for this analysis (Supplementary Table S4).
