Several prevalent β-lactamase genes (blaSHV-12, blaTEM-1, blaNDM-1, blaKPC-2, blaCTX-M-15/65, and blaOXA-48) were evaluated for copy number and mutation heterogeneity by analyzing raw read mapping coverage in K. pneumoniae. In the scatter and density plots, the y-axis indicates the square root of the estimated copy number. The circular charts show the proportions of strains carrying resistance genes that exhibit heterogeneous and non-heterogeneous in human versus nonhuman sources.
