Principal component analysis on the 1240k dataset where the principal components were calculated based on the genetic variation of modern-day worldwide populations onto which ancient samples were projected. All newly reported ancient individuals from Brazil fall into a cluster with previously published ancient genome-wide data from South America, except the Lapa do Sumidouro samples that are slightly displaced from the main cluster.
