Anomaly in the JJA 2022 average soil moisture due to changes in daily temperature range, in units of s.d. of the JJA 1960-2021 distribution. The absence of stippling indicates that there are no locations where climate change-driven trends in the daily temperature range made JJA 2022 the driest relative to 1960-2021. Simulations are based on the mesoscale Hydrological Model (mHM).
