A Pearson’s correlation coefficient was used to find the covariance between modules and aquaria (two-tailed) and p-values calculated using a student asymptotic test. Only correlation values that had a p-value of < 0.05 are shown. Correlation values on the left are for each aquaria condition. Correlation values on the right indicates a specific substrate (Ssulfide, O-oxygen, N-nitrate, H-hydrogen). For example, teal and gold modules are negatively correlated with sulfide replete conditions (S) indicating a pattern of an overall decrease in gene expression of these module’s eigengenes.
