The Editors would like to alert the readers that concerns have been raised regarding the source data for Fig. 1d and e, where a number of samples in different groups show identical values. Further checks by the Publisher identified high similarity between Extended Data Fig. 6g middle panel, Actin lanes 1–3 and Extended Data Fig. 7g right panel, Actin lanes 2–4, which represent different treatments. The latter concern has been addressed by a correction1, but the authors have been unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for the source data similarities.
Readers are therefore advised to interpret these data with caution.
