a, Of the 9 macaques that were necropsied 5 days off ART, 7 remained aviraemic (<1 copy/ml) and 2 (LV1 and LV4) were viraemic with 13 and 21 copies/ml, respectively. b, Of the 9 macaques that were necropsied 7 days off ART, 4 remained aviraemic (<1 copy/ml), 4 (VL2, LV3, LV5, LV6) had low-level viraemia (5-28 copies/ml) and 1 (HV1) had a much higher rebound at 4,700 copies/ml. For low viraemic macaques, the number of unique barcode lineages detected in rebound plasma ranged from 2-5, while HV1 had a total of 9 detectable lineages. Each barcoded lineage is shown as a proportion of the total PVL at the time of sampling.
