Extended Data Table 2 Percentage yield of ligation reactions of carboxylic acids

From: Discovery, characterization and engineering of ligases for amide synthesis

  1. Table shows yields of ligation of carboxylic acids (8–46) with l-Ile to give the corresponding amides (64, 7176, 78109) catalysed by CfaLs. Assays were carried out with wild-type and engineered CfaL enzymes (25 μM), carboxylic acids (846) (2 mM) and l-Ile (5 mM). Conversions were almost all calculated by HPLC or liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LCMS) using standard curves of synthesized standards following 20 h incubation (see footnote a for the sole exception). Values represent means, error denotes s.d., with n = 3. ND, not detected.
  2. aYield of compound 85 was calculated using HPLC peak area ratios of product and starting material.
