ADNC = Alzheimer’s disease neuropathological changes, defined as plasma pTau217 ≥ 0.63 picograms per millilitre; Primary Education = up to 10 years of compulsory primary and lower secondary education; Secondary Education = 1–2 years of academic or vocational school, 3 years of academic or vocational school, or 3–4 years of vocational training or apprenticeship; Tertiary Education = college or university education of less than four years or four years or more. N = 8949 participants from HUNT4 70+. Dots represent the weight-estimated ADNC prevalence for each sex in every age group for every education level. The whiskers are 95% confidence intervals for each estimation.
