a, Protease-based dispersal of the biofilms made of P6, P25, P40 and P45. The biofilms on a polystyrene cell culture treated 96 well plate were directly quantified by crystal violet staining without any treatment, or treated by PBS or proteinase K (10 µg ml−1) for 2 hours at room temperature before being quantified.
