To take into account the different concentration ranges measured for different drugs and the difference in their dose-dependent cytotoxicity, an alternative normalization method calculated by log2(fold-change from the median) is plotted as shown in the heatmap on the right. The dot plot on the left shows the corresponding median LC50s for each drug as calculated by the original method of normalization (as shown in main Fig. 2a).
