Extended Data Table 2 Comparison of the baseline characteristics of the participants lost to follow-up and the participants who completed the follow-up in the implementation stage and scale-up stage of SHIELD

From: Real-world implementation of a multilevel interventions program to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HBV in China

  1. We compared the baseline characteristics of the participants who lost to follow-up and the participants who completed the follow-up in the implementation stage and scale up stage of SHIELD. Categorical variables were analyzed with Pearson’s chi-square tests. Continuous variables were analyzed with independent-sample t-tests. P values are two-sided. A p value < 0.05 was considered to indicate statistical significance (age (p < 0.001); HBV DNA ≥ 200,000 IU/mL (p < 0.001); HBeAg-positive (p < 0.001); alanine aminotransferase (p < 0.001) in the implementation stage). HBeAg, hepatitis B e antigen; HBV, hepatitis B virus.
