The violin plots show the results from the permutation tests. A. The stability of the CpGs in each MRS was tested using 10,000 permutations. The red asterisks reflect the p-values obtained using the CpGs included in our MRSs. B. The patient categorization is tested using 1,000 permutations. The red asterisks reflect the p-values categorization using age at diagnosis for each MRS. Box plots show the median (center line), interquartile range (box), and whiskers extending to the most extreme values within 1.5×IQR; points beyond represent outliers.
