Distribution of selected environmental variables per catchment area. For all graphs, the x-axis shows classes of catchment areas on a log10 scale. For the graphs representing Forest cover, Wetland cover, and Protected area, the y-axis values are expressed in percentage (i.e., percent cover), whereas the Human Footprint Index is unitless and the y-axis displays a score equating a degree of human footprint: the higher the score, the higher the footprint.
