Effect of EMC on glycolysis and ATP levels in EATCs. EATCs were treated with or without 100 µM EMC for various time points. (A) The glucose consumption levels in the medium were determined by the Glucose Assay Kit-WST. Results are expressed as mean ± SD (n = 4). (B) The lactate release levels in the medium were determined by the Lactate Assay Kit-WST. Results are expressed as mean ± SD (n = 4). (C) ATP levels were determined by the CellTiter-Glo 2.0 Assay. Results are expressed as mean ± SD (n = 5). Statistical significance between the two groups was evaluated using Student’s t-test. The data were found to be significantly different compared to the control: ** p < 0.01.
