In the recurrence group, the average number of clinic visits significantly decreased from 14.9 ± 7.2 in the year before surgery to 10.7 ± 4.1 in the first year after surgery, 6.8 ± 4.2 in the second year after surgery, and 5.3 ± 3.9 in the third year after surgery (Kruskal–Wallis test, P < 0.001; Dunn’s test, **P < 0.01). In the no recurrence group, the average number of clinic visits significantly decreased from 14.3 ± 6.4 in the year before surgery to 7.1 ± 2.1 in the first year after surgery, 4.2 ± 1.8 in the second year after surgery, and 2.5 ± 0.9 in the third year after surgery (Kruskal–Wallis test, P < 0.001; Dunn’s test, **P < 0.01).
