From: Dbl2 interacts with helicases and an endonuclease to maintain the integrity of repetitive regions

We propose that Dbl2, which preferentially binds to branched DNA structures, could facilitate the recruitment of Fbh1-Skp1 and possibly other helicases or DNA repair proteins to these sites, thereby contributing to their processing. The Fbh1 helicase is known to translocate along DNA and dissociate Rad51 from nucleofilaments. Following Rad51 displacement, the SCFFbh1 complex targets Rad51 for ubiquitination to prevent its re-loading onto DNA.
